Freebird Catamaran

What an absolutely brilliant trip from start to finish. Captain Lucas and his crew was very friendly and entertaining. Food was great and drinking supplied plenty. The views was spectacular along the coast, witnessing millions of years of volcanic rock forming the island of Tenerife, and I dip in the sea next to the hundreds of meters high volcanic cliff faces. And on the return journey their brilliant knowledge got us up and close to some Pilot whales, and being true professional switching of their engines so all good enjoy nature at its purest and respect to the animals. It's a must for anyone you will not be disappointed

Amazing experience seeing the whales and dolphins in the wild 3 hour trip and included food and drinks. The drinks were good, Sangria was lovely! The food was a tiny ham and cheese sandwich which was very dry and most people on our trip binned it. Stopped to see the whales for a while, then saw dolphins next to the boat on our way to stop for a swim for abit, I would do this again but bring my own food

This is a fantastic half-day out for a couple. We booked on the day at the pier side office with Jeanelle (I think, sorry, terrible with names!), who was absolutely fantastic, telling us all about what to expect and ensuring that we got great seats on the catamaran. The two catamarans seemed really nice and modern. Drinks were plentiful and food was provided (though a little bit random). There were lounger beds at the front of the catamaran, but these were at additional cost, which did not seem to be advertised well. However, there was very little protection from the sun here. With hindsight, approximately 50% of the members of our travelling group were glad not to have paid the extra! We toured a significant length of the coastline, which was fantastic for anyone who loves the water. That said, there were a few queasy looking faces. Anyone who is sensitive to seasickness should probably dose up before joining the tour. There was an opportunity to swim, however the original plan spot was too rough and the alternative swimming spot was too cold. Only one couple of brave folk managed to get in and bob around for about three minutes while insisting that "the water is lovely," before they needed to get out to avoid hypothermia. We saw some whales, which made our day. If you have binoculars or a strong zoom on your camera, it would be worth bringing these. Sadly, no dolphins chose to grace us with their presence. After this kind of trip I always ask myself whether I would recommend it to someone else and whether I would repeat the trip myself. The answer would be a definite yes to both questions.

Pod of pilot whales that came right up to the boat, crew professional and friendly, happy to help as needed, snorkelling was only a few minutes but off back of boat and only see sand and a couple of fish - lovely chill morning though :-)

Lovely crew, especially Hergar, Jonas, Eduardo and David!!! They were very nice to our AWDF volunteers and we had lovely sightings, they all made sure the approach to the whales and dolphins were done in a way that does not stress the animals out, and they made sure not to approach any animals if they were stressed and made the whale watching experience very ethical for the animals!!!
