The Freebird Catamaran offers two different tours to choose from. The first option is a three-hour trip where you will have the chance to see some of the most beautiful marine animals living in the waters around Tenerife. The experienced staff on board will take you to the best locations for whale and dolphin spotting, while you enjoy the stunning views of Tenerife's coastline and glistening ocean. Drinks and sandwiches are included during this trip and there is free pick-up service from your hotel in southern Tenerife.
The second option is a four-and-a-half-hour trip that takes you to the beautiful Massa Bay, located in Los Gigantes, on Tenerife's west coast. This bay is known for its impressive cliffs rising from the sea and offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. During this trip, you will also enjoy the opportunity to swim and snorkel in the crystal-clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean and a delicious lunch, such as paella, will be provided. As with the first tour, there is free pick-up service from your hotel in southern Tenerife and drinks are included.
The Freebird Catamaran is a Barco Azul boat that has the necessary permits from the Canarian government to responsibly visit dolphins and whales. This means you can rest assured that you will meet these beautiful marine animals responsibly.

3 weeks agoWe had an amazing time with Freebird One and couldn’t be happier with our experience! Everything was so well-organized from start to finish. We were picked up from the north at our designated pickup point and transferred smoothly to the boat, making the whole process effortless. The staff was incredibly friendly, professional, and clearly very experienced, ensuring that we felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout the trip. We also rented a sunbed, which we highly recommend! It made the experience even more relaxing—our tip: the sunbeds on the sides are the best for comfort and views.Overall, we would 100% recommend Freebird One to everyone looking for a fantastic and stress-free boat trip. A huge thank you to the entire team for their great job—we truly appreciated it!

a month agoAn amazing experience. From the very start with the pick up from our hotel to the drop off it was perfect and professional. Nice air condition coach both ways, drop off right next to the Catamaran and prompt boarding. We did the morning 3 hour dolphin and whales trip, it was perfect. Extremely friendly staff, boat was very clean and well equipped, free drinks, nice sunbeds to lounge on. We were very lucky to see both pilot whales and bottle nose dolphins. It was a perfect experience and great value for money. I would recommend to anyone to do it.

2 weeks agoHad a wonderful whale spotting trip yesterday with Freebird. Saw lots of pilot whales close up and the information given was very interesting. The crew looked after us very well and I would recommend this trip very highly. Many thanks to Luca, Edu, Tobi, David and Eugenio you were great.

2 months agoMy husband and I were so looking forward to this, having been on several boat trips before but I'm sorry to say that it was pretty disappointing. We'd booked the 3 hr trip and it was disappointing for several reasons....The sandwiches that were included were only ham and cheese. My husband and I are vegan but, despite the booking info saying they could cater for different dietary requirements and my husband emailing ahead to inform them of ours, we were not provided with an alternative to the ham and cheese. There were unlimited drinks (albeit in tiny cups) but there was only full sugar coke and sprite available. There didn't seem to be any other snacks or anything available to purchase either. As we got onto the boat the crew were selling the opportunity to sit on a lounger at the front of the catamaran. We weren't interested in this and thank goodness! Those who paid €15 for a lounger essentially had the privilege of paying to get wet and cold in the biting wind and ocean spray. What a cheek to charge folks to sit in the worst seats on the boat! Whilst the weather wasn't great for our trip, I can't imagine the experience would be much better if the sun was out - replace feeling cold with getting sunburn. Because the weather wasn't great, the sea got very choppy. To the point where I felt it was a bit dangerous and I'm surprised folks weren't sick. The trip was supposed to be 3 hours long but it left the marina late and returned early so was probably only about 2.5 hours in total. To be honest, I was glad when it was over but very annoyed that we'd not got what we paid for. On return to the marina, the crew then had the cheek to ask for a tip, despite non-existent customer service from the crew. In addition to this, the toilets were pretty grubby and smelly and other passengers were smoking everywhere which, as a non-smoker, I can't bear. So all in all, a disappointing and expensive trip. We've been on much more pleasurable boat trips which have cost less than this one. So I'd avoid this operator.

5 months agoIt was a very good day out & I think the 3 hour boat trip is about the right amount of time for this trip. We saw plenty of dolphins and whales & the crew were very helpful in pointing out where they were in the ocean. All the crew members were polite & made you feel welcomed when you were a board the catamaran. They spoke in several languages, so all the passengers knew what was happening. Plenty of liquid refreshments were at hand, which consisted of beer, fizzy pop & water. The only downside was you only got 1 cheese & ham roll to eat for the trip, so if you don't like ham & cheese you went peckish. All in all it was worth the money & I would recommend it & I would do it again at a later date.
