2 weeks agoCan't recommend the zoo enough. We had an incredible day, seeing lots of beautiful animals. It was quite emotional to see the Orangutan (really wanted to free it and let it go live with its own kind.) We highly recommend going to the Bird of Prey show. It was incredible to see, and very informative. Our daughter had an amazing time going around the enclosures. The sea lion show was cancelled as they are doing up the area but it looks great. Nice and shady from the hot sun, and because it's higher up there's an amazing breeze to keep you cool. Refreshments area was limited. Toilets were immaculate. Taxis are available to get you back down which is ideal. Loved it.

2 weeks agoNice place when you arrive they lead you through to have your photos taken with a couple of birds. Then you come to a snack bar and at 12:30 the bird show begins they say it’s the best in the world that’s a big boast and although it was really good I have seen better. The sea lion show was very disappointing as they had the arena closed due to renovations and we were all crammed on a bridge barely able to see while the trainers did a routine with them in their very small enclosure. It was €16.95 for a burger and chips which was tasty. At the end you head to the exit and are met with your photos they had about 12 photos printed and you choose how many you want they cost €10 each but a few of them are the same shot taken at different angles so I just chose my favourite ones. A good day out

3 months agoIt is a nice place to visit with lots to see, as it is a tropical jungle but also a zoo, as animals living there are penguins, orangutans, lemurs, sea lions, crocodiles, turtles, raccoons, also wide variety of birds, cats and monkeys. There was a big car park, no overcrowded, so easy to attend by car. Nice place to spend a day with whole family, but not something really special. There is easy access for pushchairs as well. Remember to take you own snacks and drinks, as prices at restaurant over there are very high. WiFi service was very poor. Staff was taking photos of visitors and printed them out, so in the end of your visit they were selling them at the entrance (10€/photo). Have to say that the place is clean, animals were treated well, feed regularly and had lots of hiding places in their enclosures. Parrots exhibit was our favourite, we went there twice during the visit. Birds were landed on us and were easy to feed. Eagles show was also very interesting. I do recommend.

a month agoThis zoo is very ok. We liked the lemur walk through and the kids liked the jungle raid obstacle course. We arrived at opening time by taxi and were ready to leave well before the free bus left. We never felt rushed and visited some animals multiple times. Like all zoos and amusement parks, the food prices are high, but you can bring your own food and drinks. The animals were nice and some were very active, while others were sleeping. The park was clean. The animals looked well cared for. The bird of prey show was good. They were renovating the sea lion theatre, so no show, just an educational talk—it was interesting. The biggest complaint we had was the souvenir pictures. The kids wanted to just hold the birds, not necessarily get pictures. The photographer could be a little pushy about taking pictures. He took almost 12 pictures of our family and charged 10€ each. We only got a couple, but there should have been a deals to buy all of them. Their sister park—aqualand — had a digital deal for 40€. This would have been great.

2 months agoWe chose to visit Jungle park over the infamous Loro Park as it was closer and cheaper....and we are glad we did :) The park was beautifully clean and well presented. I was slightly dubious having read about the birds being chained, but seeing the bird show put my mind at rest as the animals are obviously very much loved by the people who work there. The lemurs were a real highlight as they are free to roam in the enclosure which you walk through and will get very close. I loved the landscaping too, the plants were also beautiful to see. We were advised to take a picnic as the prices were expensive for food and drink. To be fair, they were but no more than you'd expect for the average tourist attraction. I will say that you will need a car to get there but the benefit is you get amazing views on your drive home! Biggest negative was them constantly trying to get photographs which you then obviously have to pay for. Also, I felt a bit disappointed to have to pay €4 per person to ride the toboggan. This should have been part of the experience in and ticket price in my opinion. Overall though, we loved our visit.
