Tenerife is an excellent place for stargazing because of several favourable conditions. The island has minimal light pollution. The high altitude of the Teide volcano, located more than 3,700 metres above sea level, brings visitors above many atmospheric disturbances and allows for sharper star observations. Tenerife's mild climate and geographical location provide good conditions for stargazing all year round. Moreover, Tenerife hosts some of the world's most advanced astronomical observatories, making the infrastructure and expertise available for high-quality stargazing experiences. These factors make Tenerife a great place to admire the cosmos, although it does not have an official ranking as the third best place in the world. During the stargazing excursion in Tenerife, we do not go up the cable car and stay at an altitude of 2,500 metres in the national park.
It is recommended to bring warm clothing, as temperatures at high altitude can drop at night. Comfortable walking shoes are also useful.

4 weeks agoIt was an unforgettable experience! The tour began with a breathtaking sunset view from the park, which was absolutely stunning. Watching the sun dip below the horizon was just a beautiful moment.After the sunset, our guide took us to a prime stargazing spot where we were able to see constellations, galaxies, and even planets through powerful telescopes. The guide provided fascinating information about the night sky, making the experience both educational and awe-inspiring.I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Tenerife. Just remember to bring warm clothes, as it can get chilly at night. It's a fantastic experience for couples, solo travellers, and families alike.

2 months agoAbsolutely amazing experience from start to finish. Elena the tour guide was very knowledgeable and was fab. Was a pretty awesome the stargazing and being able to see Saturn through the telescope ! Had plenty of time to watch the sun set and the views were amazing. Lima the driver was very welcoming and made the crazy mountain roads look easy. Dinner was also great all three courses were delicious! The only thing is a little longer time at the second stop would be beneficial and we had two people who didn't follow times to be back at the bus and we had to wait 20mins for them to return. Obviously not a reflection on Elena or Lima at all they handled the situation very professionally. Would definitely recommend this trip and is suitable for people of limited mobility as long as you can get on and off the bus you are grand.

2 months agoAn amazing trip up Mount Teide and Teide National Park with stunning views and beautiful scenery. An overall 8 hour trip really didn't feel that long we enjoyed every minute of it, it was a lovely way to spend our 30th Wedding Anniversary. The 3 course meal was nice. The sunset on Mount Teide was breathtaking, to be above the clouds was surreal. The stargazing was amazing too, to see the stars and planets through the telescope was incredible. To be able to see that many stars with the naked eye was so good. We've made such lovely memories of this trip that will last us another 30 years. Special thanks to our guide and driver Eleanora and Giovanni they made our trip, her knowledge of the National Park and stars was amazing. It was definitely worth it and we would do it do it again especially if we went on a winter holiday. We'd certainly recommend it my daughter didn't come with us, she already has.

a month agoWhat a great evening with the Teide by Night team, Isabel was our guide. She was as mad as a box of frogs, so entertaining and knowledgeable of the whole area. She had a great way of putting across some very important messages. The 3 course meal, wine and beer included was very good, everything was well organised by the team. The coach driver ( can't remember his name ) got everyone home safely. The views of the Teide itself was spectacular, the cloud inversions and sun set simply breathtaking, the star gazing and setup of the telescopes was simply breathtaking catch a glimpse of Saturn and its rings truly left a memory to be treasured.

4 months agoHighly recommend this trip. Get away from the tourist beaches and take yourself to another amazing part of Tenerife. The trip was so well thought out. Lots of photo ops or different surroundings. Dinner was basic but delicious. Dominic definitely bought another level to the trip with his Insights and knowledge. I loved every part of it especially the night sky Will definitely be doing again when I come back at another time of the year.
