MHT Drag Show

Great atmosphere, fantastic service by the staff - drink orders taken at the table and delivered in about 2 minutes. The food would have got 5/5 but for some reason my wife's meal tasted exceptionally "peppery" (like everything had been rolled in black pepper, the meat and potatoes in particular). As with the drink orders, the food service was superb, it arrived hot etc. The show itself was as you'd expect, with plenty of goading of a random guy they picked out from the audience, the highlight was a Dolly Parton sketch with an unexpected guest. Another surprise was the number of people with children who went to the show, literally from babies upwards. Hopefully their generation will be more tolerant than previous, where they won't care what bits you have or clothes you wear, because unless you want to get intimate with them, it's none of your damn business how they love, or want to dress :-) If you get there early, there's literally a kart racing track entrance you go through to get to the venue, so you can get all revved up before the show.

What a night out this! Had no idea what to expect and on arrival to the venue I was ‘surprised’. We had a fabulous table with great company. The drinks service was a little slow and the food, whilst unexpected, was a little cooler than I would have liked. That said the I would pay for the show without the food, it was absolutely brilliant, such fun and there wasn't a person who couldn’t or wouldn’t laugh. The ad libbing was amazing as well as costume changes and many side splitting moments. This is a show you would have to go along to - I can’t wait to get back to Tenerife to see it again!

This was the 3rd time we have been to MHT over the years (both previous times were when it was at Vivo). This time it was a special Birthday night out and can say the birthday extras were definitely worth it! They made a real fuss of us and it was thoroughly enjoyable . The show was fantastic and the meal was great (just as good as previous visits). The show it self did seem to have been scaled back somewhat in comparison to our previous visits (with 3 performers hosting the show). But it was a Fabulous & Fun night had by all, would definitely recommend 👍

Fun show, and lots of funny parts to the act. Honestly did think it would be better than it was though, after reading through other reviews. Whilst I enjoyed the evening there could be improvements. Half to two thirds of the act were songs and I think there was too much emphasis on this. I expected more stand up comedy I guess. Food was decent but main meal portion sizes could be bigger. You are a captive audience so you pay the drink prices there. It's $4 for a beer and $2.50 for a soft drink. Not bad there, but a vodka and diet coke is $8 which frankly I consider steep. Suggest the cocktails, all are $8 and with three spirits in seem decent value. The plastic seats are hard and uncomfortable after half and hour and you will be wriggling in your seat as a result. If we are sat down for over a couple of hours, a cushion would be nice. Can't fault the staff at the Tavern who all were pleasant and worked hard. And the drag acts were funny and worked hard so we enjoyed ourselves. But less songs and more stand up comedy would improve this show I think. Still 4 stars and a different and enjoyable evening was had.

What a fantastic evening… from the welcome at reception, the service staff and the live entertainment, it was an an evening not to miss. Not only were the audience thoroughly entertained, you could actually see that the people on stage were enjoying the evening… probably the best holiday show we’ve had the pleasure to watch.
